Greetings! My name is Brandon Call. I am a 20-year-old junior at the University of New Mexico in Albuquerque double-majoring in print journalism and English.

I'm also a huge fan of Lobo athletics. Consequently, I was also the assistant sports editor for UNM's student newspaper, The Daily Lobo.

In between working for the school newspaper and cramming 18 hours of classes into my already busy schedule, I enthusiastically follow football, baseball and tennis. (Weird combination, I know.)

    I do not disagree on the behalf that NFL retirees deserve more. My only point is when you compare them with the MLB, there is no connection. It would be different if there was a players association that was built of players from multiple sports, but theres not.

    So yes, it is a problem the NFL has. In my opinion, it has got nothing to do with what MLB players do/don't make. Same as if you compared it to the NBA.

    I did enjoy the article though and look forward to reading more in the future.

    Hi Brandon, good to hear from you - thanks for the kind words. It was a great tournament, heaps of fun to write about it. Nice to hear from somebody from New Mexico. I know a girl who was on a golf scholarship there and Luc Longley was also a Lobo. Are you guys going to the NCAA tournie this year?
