I don't really have a long or interesting story. I'm a born and raised Texan, a U.S. Army Vet, and a fan of college football and boxing. I was an amateur boxer for about two years, many moons ago. I joined the Army in 1995 and got out in 2001. I've always been a fan of sports reporting and wanted to find a way to get involved in it. A mentor of mine is a sports reporter for a local radio station here in the Austin metro area, and he suggested that I try writing, so I started a blog, which never took off. I was discussing with my wife that I think I should forget this crazy dream when she said, "Why don't you look into Bleacher Report?" Imagine her surprise and my embarrassment when I said, "What is Bleacher Report?" After a short lesson, I submitted my application to b/r and here I am. I couldn't thank my mentor, David Anderson of 98.1 KVET & AM 1300 "The Zone" or my beautiful, sports loving wife enough for helping me. I hope that all that read my articles find them informative & entertaining. Thank you all that read and I look forward to reading & responding to any comments that you may have. If you would like, you can follow me on Facebook and/or Twitter. I always enjoy meeting new people....especially fellow Longhorn fans. HOOK'EM!!
