I am a senior in high school writing from home in Northern Virginia. I'm going to Notre Dame next year with the intention of studying engineering and getting involved in media relations for the sports teams there while keeping up writing for b/r.

I have been a dedicated fan of the Mariners since I got my first Ichiro rookie card and jersey in 2001 from my grandma in Seattle. It's been a bit of a disappointing decade since then, but I'm pumped to see the rebuilding phase come to an end as a new dynasty is born under Dustin Ackley and Jesus Montero.

Living right near Washington DC my whole life has made being a Mariners fan tough, but the few of us that are out here can band together at Nats and Orioles games.

During football season, I root for the Redskins. They've also had a disappointing run pretty much since Joe Gibbs left (the first time), but hopefully RG3 can help them out of that rut.
