Thanks for the edits. I used to spend a lot of time trying to figure the right points for paragraph breaks as I'm trained to write legal arguments and such where longer paragraphs are necessary. But no matter what I did, the edits done by people like you were always better.

Well there seem to be a couple of us milling around anyway! Football season isn't generally the easiest time to be a Sparty/Lions fan, but at least MSU seems to be holding up their end of the bargain this year. I like Dantonio and hope he isn't just using State as a "step-ladder" school like Saban before him. He seems to be turning this thing around. Thanks for the read!

Thank you very much for your edit on my article. I had to go back and revert it to the original one because there must have been some sort of mistake. A large chunk of my article was completely erased and going back to the original version was the only way to get it back as I hadn't backed up the article on my hard drive.

Hi Emily,

No problem. I noticed my piece "Open Mic: No Pain, No Sport" had no tags after your edit and really didn't know where tags stood prior to your edit. After Zander's edit my piece had six or eight tags, I believe.
I went back in yesterday and restored the tags "Humor" and "Open Mic." I think those tags are appropriate and sufficient for this piece.

Thank you a ton for the edits, but you know, my article was only a stop gap till Michael Griffin who was at the Silverstone GP posted his news. So, could you delete my article and make Michael's article appear on the front pages of F1 and Auto Racing if that is okay with you.

Emily, thanks for the edit on my "Open Mic: No Pain, No Sport." I do have a question, however: What happened to my tags? When I filed the piece I hadn't added the tag "Humor." I later e-mailed Bleacher Report requesting that the "Humor" tag be added and I suggested that the Humor page is the most appropriate spot for my piece.
Zander responded by tagging it "Humor" and putting it on the Humor page. He also added the tag "Open Mic" and a few others. Please restore appropriate tags -- "Open Mic," etc. -- to my piece. As previous, readers should see "Back to Humor Page" above my piece. Thanks, Brian

Hi Emily,

Thanks for editing my article! It certainly looks snappier and perhaps easier to digest. The original article (before any edits at all) had longer, more flowing paragraphs in my opinion. This is probably due to the fact that in my Uni studies i'm used to writing lots of long, flowery essays! Also, being from the UK I think journalistic articles are more like this, rather than the short and snappier style . However saying that I can certainly appreciate why one or two line 'paragraphs' may be better here. I would really appreciate your comments and views.

OK, I have a question for you and I want you to remember Mr. Spock's words from the first Star Trek movie, "I have no ego to bruise." I graduated with a minor in Journalism in 1990 and haven't done much writing for news since then, I basically concentrated my efforts in broadcasting. I'm thinking about getting either a part-time writing, editing position or going freelance. In your opinion, do I have what it takes, honestly? Or is this just a pipe-dream I'm thinking about.
