I am a 22 year old senior at the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater and am working on a journalism (emphasis in sports) major and a Spanish minor.
I am a well rounded person and love to learn. My passion is baseball. My chi is music. Bob Marley is hands-down my favorite artist of all time. Following shortly behind him is Jimmy Buffett. The majority of the music that I'm into is from the 60s and 70s. Those were the days of the greatest of the great. The Beatles, Jimmi Hendrix, Janis Joplin, The Grateful Dead, Bob Dylan, Led Zeplin and Pink Floyd. For those of my compatriots close to my age, imagine seeing those legends in their prime!
Eventually, I would like to return to the warm southern half of the United States. I was born in Houston and moved to Wisconsin when I was seven. While Wisconsin is absolutely my home and where my heart is, I'm just at the point now where I'm tired of winter! I used to live about five minutes away from Interstate-10 in Houston. I-10 runs the entire southern length of the United States, from Jacksonville, Florida to Santa Monica, California. It is my aim to have a permanent home anywhere south of I-10. No more winter.
By the time I'm 35 I want to have my private pilot's liscense. Also, when the doors to Cuba are opened back up to America, I want to be one of the first Americans to go to Cuba from one of our ports, be it by sea or air. Two of my favorite authors are Ernest Hemingway and Jimmy Buffett, both of whom have spent time in Cuba. I don't see the island as a place of communism but rather a place of intense culture, beautiful landscape, delicious food and an amazing language.
Eventually I want to write a book. What it'll comprise I don't yet know. I have ideas.
That's me everyone. Feel free to send me a mesage if you want to know anything else or just discuss the Brewers, sports, aviation, music or anything for that matter!
