About

Sox N Celts fan. Love baseball in general. Unprofessional fantasy baseball pro, you may be playing against one of the teams I drafted. I'm here to offer my insight in discussions and bring reason to conjecture. I'm pretty awesome that way.

Short List

  • Favorite Athletes

Jon Lester,Larry Bird, Bo Jackson, Daniel Bard, Clayton Kershaw, Tulo, Trevor Bauer....the list goes on

  • Favorite Sports Teams

    Boston Red Sox/Boston Celtics

  • Favorite Coaches

My AAU coach who taught the diamond & 1 defense. After this I became unstoppable on both ends of the court

  • All Time Sports Moment

Seeing Ken Griffey Jr. hit a home run for the Reds at Shea Stadium. The greatest to ever do without roids

  • Most Memorable Game Attended

Jon Lester vs Kazmir & The Rays. First home game back after defeating cancer

  • Most Unbreakable Sports Record

    MLB 56 game hitting streak

  • Ruth or Mays?

    Josh Gibson >

  • Jordan or Russell?

Russel. Though my favorite Celt is The Hick From French Lick

  • Gretzky or Orr?

    The Great One

  • Tiger or Nicklaus?

Life moves to fast to watch golf

  • Petty or Earnhardt?

Is this a formula 51 question?

  • Schumacher or Senna?

    see above

  • ACC, Big 12, Big East, Big Ten, Pac-12 or SEC?

I apologize, it all starts to run together after a while (ha,ha). Well, in that case, I might tend to agree with you more but I haven't heard much about it? Be interesting to see if that's what they do!

Christopher, it may not seem as crazy now as it did a few months ago when you first posed the question of Bard in the closing role. However, keep in mind, at this point, it's Bard by default AND the Sox will still be looking for a closer. Which tells me they don't have much confidence in him in that role!

Thanks for the link on Bard. I still don't see it happening though. He (Rob Bradford) is the only one I've heard say that so far. Even if Papelbon ends up re-signing with the Sox, I just can't imagine it happening, Bard has trouble pitching more than one innning BUT, I've been known to be wrong before, so I guess we'll see what happens.
