Check My Watch: Why the Sixers Need To Bring Back Iverson
11/30/2009
I'm back on Bleacher Report after a long hiatus and ready to write some great articles. Right now, I'm in graduate school at Georgetown studying Sports Industry Management, and I hope to provide some unique perspectives.
Some of the regular features I hope to provide are:
Through the Telescope: focusing on big issues in sports, both past and present
Locally Grown: focusing on issues local to me, both in DC and Philly
Check My Watch: focusing on current news and events
Got a Light?: focusing on the humorous side of sports
AI won't retire after this year anyway.

Hey Ross, I completely agree with you, actually. I think if the Sixers bring Iverson in,...
Iverson may sell tickets at the outset of the acquisition, but winning is the only true driving force behind attendance and support from a fan base....

he would make them a better team, no doubt about it.
I agree that 76ers fans definitely want Iverson back, and that ticket sales would benefit greatly from his presence. He's one of the greatest in franchise...
You make good points for and against A.I. rejoining the team. I think for sure he'd fill seats, at the very least, if you look at...
As a follow-up to my article from a few days ago debating whether or not retirement would be Iverson's final "Answer," I decided to quickly go over the reasons why the 76ers would be wise to bring A...
To whoever is reading this, read carefully : Do you REALLY think that Allen iverson, who in the 07 08 season averaged 26 points, 7 assists,...
Today Allen Iverson announced his retirement from the NBA after 14 terrific seasons. Throughout his career, the generously-listed 6’0” guard has electrified crowds with his unique ...
With the Phillies' quest to defend their world championship starting tomorrow night, I was inspired to compose the ultimate top 20 list--my 20 greatest moments as a Philadelphia sports fan.

Letting of steam feels good. But watching your team fall apart doesn't.

Unfortunately, February 28, 2009 is a day I won't be forgetting for a long time. Hopefully, you never have to experience the pain of your all-time favorite athlete leaving your team...and if you have experienced it, I hope you never have to go through it again.

Hey,
Below is my preview for the Phillies 2009 Season. The only difference is I included the Phillies community into this one. It is quite long, but it is complete, I'll tell you that much. Spent a bunch of time on this, would appreciate it if you checked it out.

After what was easily the most exciting NFL season I have ever seen, almost every single NFL team has learned something new about its quarterback, whether it be finally finding their franchise quarterback, losing their starter to injury, or watching the starter lose his job. Here is the ultimate rankings--the 32 best active quarterbacks in the National Football League.

Ross,
Right now we all need to take time out of our day, and pray for Jim Johnson. The Philadelphia Eagle's defensive coordinator who was diagnosed with skin cancer. Let me know what you think. Thanks
