My name is Trevor. I've been a fan of wrestling since I was a kid. I've done some backyard stuff, mostly with family, messing around. Nothing too hardcore. Though I have been cut open before.
At the moment CM Punk is my favorite wrestler (superstar) because I think he's great in the ring and on the mic. He's definitely one of the most entertaining heels ever. I've hated him and loved him, and loved to hate him. Getting that much of a response out of any wrestling fan these days takes talent.
My next pick is The Phenomenal A.J Styles. Again, great work in the ring, good mic skills. You don't see a lot of guys like him around, probably because there isn't anyone else like him in the mainstream wrestling business. But, I do have to admit, I'm not a big fan of The Styles Clash. I think it looks sloppy and not the least bit affective. Luckily he makes up for that with a barrage of kickassery.
Sting was my favorite wrestler growing up. I painted my face like him, had the same kind of necklace he wore. Posters, figures. All that.
I actually grew up on WCW, watching some WWF here and there. Then when WCW was bought up I became a fan.
The moment that most sticks out to me from WCW would have to be at Starcade 98 when Hall used the taser on Goldberg so that Nash could end the streak. I was watching the PPV live and my cousin threw a boot at the bigscreen and almost broke it. We were livid.
In WWE I think Austin attacking Vince in the hospital, beating him with the bed-pan, using the defibrillator and shoving the tube or whatever up his ass is the one moment I remember the most. And when Angle suplexed Shane through the glass at King of the Ring.
I remember watching the Hell In A Cell where Manking goes off of the top at King of the Ring. I was watching with my mom and we both jumped to our feet and just stood their in silence. Mind you, this was several years later, and we were watching it on VHS...
I didn't get in to TNA until a couple years ago, from what I've seen, aside from the awesome matches, I haven't been missing very much. The storylines usually blow, like most of the ones in WCW.
My favorite kind of match is an Ultimate-X match and anything with their tag-team division.
I think my favorite wrestler in TNA right now, aside from Styles would have to be Robbie-E. He's talented, annoying and when he's in the ring his entire body is a character. There are so many little things that he does that prove that he is the real deal. Now if he would just change his fricken hair, Jesus. Did a moose sneeze in that shit?
I hope to write something on here at some point, but more than likely I'll be commenting on stuff. I don't think I know the business well enough to try and write something. I'd probably make a fool of myself in the process.
