I have been writing and photographing sports since the 1980's when I began working for the Dover Post. Since then I have written about sports for a number of local, regional and national publications. Currently I contribute stories and photos to 15-motorsports publications.

Between 1980-1986, I worked for Delaware State University’s Office of Public Relations and Sports Information . There I photographed sporting events along with other needed promotional photography. I also proofed press releases and performed other promotional duties.

In addition to working for Delaware State University at that time I also was a freelance photographer/reporter for the Dover Post Papers. I did darkroom work for four weekly newspapers and most of the photography for those newspapers.

Between 1984 to1988 I was a freelance photographer for the Baltimore Sun’s Ocean City, MD office. From1986 to the present I work as a freelance photographer/reporter for most of the local newspapers such as the Sussex Countian, Milford Beacon, Dover Post, Delaware Wave, Coast Press, Delaware State News and other Independent News Publications.

In 1976 I published the first of my two Delaware history books: ‘Tales of Old Dover’ Spectator Books 1978, ‘Newspaper Nostalgia in Delaware’ Sussman & Sussman Publishers. In addition to publishing those books I assisted with the writing and research for other books. I also freelanced for INI and other newspapers.

I am a 15-year member of the Eastern Motorsports Press Association.
