This place ain't what it used to be. I'm pretty sure there is a major tennis tournament going on, yet it would be hard to tell from the lack of activity in the tennis community. Oh, besides nonsense about Venus Williams' outfits and Madrid ball girls.

The cricket community has been going downhill for a long time now. There was a time when the cricket section was littered with articles about India or the IPL, but now it's nothing but England. The right balance will probably never be struck. I guess, on the plus side, there are no "Top 10 England Cricketers' WAGs" slideshows (yet).

With just a couple of days before the 2010 Ford Ironman Championship in Hawaii, I talk with one of the favorites—last year's runner-up, American Chris Lieto:

Have not heard from you for a long.
I woke up and looked into the mirror this morning and saw me upside down and tried to follow the image in reverse for a change. .
Hope you can bear with me for once.

Heya, I barely log in here much anymore but funnily enough I decided to today and I saw your message!

Yeah, I was upset that Federer lost...always hurts when he loses, esp before semis and even more so with it being Wimbledon. But to be honest, can't say I am all that surprised. He has been pretty shaky for a while now - he hasn't managed to reproduce his form of the AO final. Obviously, a decline is inevitable - you can't win Wimbledon forever. Even if you're Federer! I still think he can win a couple more slams but it is gonna be much harder for him now...but I shall support him no matter what!

I too was really gutted for Roddick...Roger and the 2 Andys have been my main focus this year! I would actually love to see Andy Murray take the crown - he's been playing so well and he really does need a slam now!

Glad you got to see Roddick live - I wanted to as well. I was actually at Wimbledon on Monday and was hoping to get a court 1 or 2 ticket but no luck, even though I got up at 5am!!! Did you manage to get a ticket through the ballot? I tried but no luck there either this year :( Ah well, will be trying the ballot again for next year.

In the meantime...C'mon Andy!!!! (Do you reckon he can take down Rafa? I think whoever wins that semi is gonna be the champion this year. I'm so annoyed cos I am gonna miss the semis and the men's finals - have my university ball on friday and a friend's wedding on sunday arghhhh!)
