To the left is a picture of me as I hiked back up the Grand Canyon after hiking down to Phantom Ranch that same morning. Me and my dad hiked down the Angel Creek Trail, and up the Kaibab Trail.

Currently in high school, I run cross-country and track (one-mile and two-mile). I have a deep love for all Minnesota sports, but I have a deeper love for my Creator, Jesus Christ. I hope to bring you entertaining and relevant articles while I rant on whichever Minnesota sport happens to be struggling.

No, I don't limit my interests to Minnesota sports. I love all sports, but I tend to gravitate towards the NFL.

I may have to see someone about this, but I almost enjoy the NFL off-season better than the regular season...

...maybe it's something in the Mid-West air...

Just wanted to guage your interest, and I will be asking many other Bleacher Report NFL Writers...

How would you feel about taking part in a "way-too-early" 2008 NFL Season Predictions piece? It would be a 5 or 6 part article which would break down the schedules of each team, 4 weeks at a time, and try to predict their records after 4 games, 8 games, 12 games, 17 games and playoffs.

I'd like to get maybe 5 writers involved, so let me know if you're interested.

I think you did a good job, I agree with the Bears pick of Jeff Otah, they need some sort of lineman. It's really tough to pass up Mendehall, he shows a lot of promise and gets the hometown discount. But you did a good job of breaking down all the picks. I liked it.

I'm not sure the Pats go CB at 7. For them to grab a CB at that spot, they'd have to guarantee $14 million-ish. If they were going to do that, why not just give Asante the $18 to $22 million he was looking for?

I'd recommend getting "NFL Mock Draft" in the title to maximize search engine traffic. Beyond that, my main suggestion would be to keep it simple. Maybe "NFL Mock Draft: Who's Going No. 1", or something like that.

Just wanted to fill you in on the mock draft plan.

I’m going to do a random draw for teams this weekend. So if you want to actually make picks, please let me know before Sunday morning (unless you already have, then don’t worry about it).

The plan right now is to hold the mock draft in a chat room on April 19th at 2:00 PM EST. Please let me know if this works for you. Depending on everyone’s availability, we may move the time around a bit. I’ll send out the chat room info and the exact time it’s scheduled towards the middle of next week.

The format will be like this:

I’ll announce that the Dolphins are on the clock, whoever is making their pick will make it and give their reason for the pick. Everyone else will get a few minutes to comment on the pick. Then we’ll announce the next team in on the board.

I’m not sure yet if we’ll put all of the comments in the article (I would like to), it depends on how long it ends up. We may end up having to select the best comments for each pick.

Yeah, yeah, yeah, Danks' line was horrible, but I will maintain that six out of the nine hits the Twins had in those first three innings were not hit hard. Danks could have thrown more strikes and he'll end up in my "bad" section, but I'm not so much frustrated with him as I am with the baseball gods right now.

From now until the opening weekend of college football I am going to be writing articles requesting votes for the All-Time Greatest College Football Team. Each article will request votes for the best player at each individual position, as well as a head coach. The week before the opening weekend of the season, I will tally up the votes and submit a fan’s voted, “Bleacher Report All-Time Greatest College Football Team.”

I don’t usually solicit reads for an article, but I am for this one. Because obviously it would require reads for votes, and votes for a team.

My favorite kind of race is the one where you only race people from your team. My school had a pretty big track team (mostly football players, so there were massive amounts of throwers and 100-yard dashers) and in the early "warm-up" meets, there'd be like 10 heats of just runners from our school in the 100. Took like 15 minutes between the start of the 100 to the start of the 1600. And by the time the 3200 came around, the other team scratched their guys because it would be pointless to risk injury with no chance of getting close to us points-wise, so we were stuck running against each other. We made our coach pretty mad after one of em though...but that's a different story for a different time.

My 5K PR is 18:13. Never my best race, and in my 2 years of XC, I always hurt myself at the end of the season. My best mile was a 4:53 and my two mile PR is 10:33. I've gotten slower after coming to Marquette, but I'm still working at it.

Hey Andrew,
I'm trying to put together an official Bleacher Report mock draft. I've discussed it a little with Zander and Trey. I'm curious if you'd be interested in handling any of the teams? I'm trying to get 4 or 5 of the NFL guys to take 5 or 6 teams each.

The plan would be to schedule the draft, meet in a chat room somewhere, and everyone can make their picks and comments. Then we'll post the chat as the official Bleacher Report mock draft.

Anyway, let me know if you're interested. And if you are, let me know which teams you'd want to handle (the only two that are taken so far are the Patriots and Vikings).

The good news is that the starting pitching has been really solid in 2/3 games, and besides Rincon I feel pretty good with the bullpen right now. If we can just start hitting I think the things would be alright. With KC/CHI coming up it would be nice to get those bats going. We need to do well against them.

Mauer will probably catch tomorrow. It just dumbfounds me. I thought this guy was suppose to be a really good hitter? why is it that he just hits ground balls and never drives anything in the air? That's not the sign of a good hitter if you ask me. He's really disappointed me over the last year. Also...not being able to catch 3 days in a row to begin the year????? That worries me my friend.

I'm not sure how I'm going to handle the draft next season. A 31-part column is tough, especially when it drags over a two or three month period (I just posted my thoughts on this at the top of my Jags column).

I can't wait to finish so I can adjust some of the earlier picks in the follow-up column. It's amazing how much has changed since early February.

Also, I'm thinking of trying to put together a "Bleacher Report Mock Draft" where a few of the NFL guys get assigned teams and we all make our picks in a semi-live manner. Would you be interested in handling the Vikings if I put this thing together?

Five years? That's way too long for a deal for Cabrera. If we can sign him to an inexpensive three-year deal, I'd be happy, but there shouldn't be that much of a rush to sign him because Alexei Ramirez's natural position is shortstop. If Cabrera walks this year (and, being a type A free agent, gives the Sox a better supplemental draft pick than Garland, a type B free agent) and Ramirez takes over at SS next year, I won't be overly disappointed.

Another Twins question, considering I'm working on my preview of them now: How's the starting rotation lining up? Will it be Hernandez/Bonser/Slowey/Liriano/Baker?

It just was announced within the last two hours that Uribe would be the starting second baseman, at least for now. While I may want to see what Alexei Ramirez can do, putting Uribe in there for now was the right call. If Juan struggles (which, despite his spring training production, still seems likely), then I'd like to see the Sox go to Ramirez, who will be filling a utility role for the MLB club. Pablo Ozuna will also see a lot of time at second and actually will get the Opening Day start against CC Sabathia.

Any word on how Carlos Gomez is progressing? I'm assuming Gardenhire settled on him over Pridie, right?

I think that it is really cool of you to back up Divya like you did. It takes a lot of character to be able to do that. I personally know what it is like to get critisizm that isn't backed up, and is just there to hurt you. For example,

Andrew, I just searched for "Dallas Cowboys" pictures and the one of Julius Jones was there, just not tagged with his name. If you can't find a player by his name, try searching for the team and sometimes it will show up.

ESPN in school? Man, I shoulda transferred high schools to where you're at. Oh well...

You know, maybe they just wanted to dump Williamson real bad and free up that roster spot to be able to make a move for somebody else. Maybe it's all part of a bigger plan. You know, stockpiling draft picks to be able to make other deals. That's what I do in Madden '08.

At any rate, as a Cleveland Cavs fan I was overjoyed when they traded Larry Hughes. They could have traded him to the Celtics for the Celts' waterboy and cash considerations and I would have been happy.

I don't know if that's how you guys feel about Williamson. But...

Bottom line... you want Tavaris Jackson to do well, you have to get him better targets. AP and CT can't do it all. I know you know that and I know the Vikings' management knows it. They'll make some more moves.

Good question! I most definitely do not write all of the articles myself. We have a staff of over a dozen writers that cover both the NFL and college football.
