Tyler's Bio

I'm a journalism student at the University of Georgia, and a sportswriter/former sports editor at The Red & Black, where I've covered pretty much every sport at Georgia. I'm the shaggy brother in the back.

Currently filling the oh-so-prestigious and self-explanatory title of "Bleacher Report Sports Editing Intern."

Tyler Writes About

The Short List facts and information about Tyler Estep

Favorite Athletes

Greg Maddux, Juan Pierre, Yunel Escobar. This changes a lot, except for Maddux.

Favorite Sports Teams

Atlanta Braves, Georgia's pretty cool too.

All Time Sports Moment

The 1995 World Series. Glavine's eight shutout innings, David Justice's solo shot and Marquis Grissom streaking into left-center field to make the final out still gives me chills. Even if I was only like eight when it happened

Most Memorable Game Attended

John Smoltz-Greg Maddux, Braves-Padres last year. Maddux gets huge standing ovation when gets up to the plate, rips a single on the first pitch from Smoltzie, and gets good-naturedly booed. Priceless.

Most Unbreakable Sports Record

Um. I'll get back to you.

Ruth or Mays?

Ruth. Duh. What's not to love about a fat, hot-dog eating, beer-drinking, womanizing wonder of a man.

Unitas or Montana?

Montana. Showmanship is for weenies

Pele or Maradona?

Pele. I hate soccer. I don't even know who Maradona is.

Jordan or Gretzky?

Jordan.

Pac 10, Big 12, Big 10, SEC, ACC, or Big East?

Hahaha. SEC. Best at everything.

  2. Excellent article on Chipper Jones! I couldn't stop laughing. Keep up the great work!

P.S. SEC best at everything? Please, they've never even been to a D-1 Lacrosse Championship.
