Karen's Bio

I'm a journalism graduate and editor of a women's football magazine called Onside. I'm currently studying a Masters in Media Enterprise in Birmingham, England. I have supported Liverpool since I was 10, when Steve McManaman and Robbie Fowler were our star players, David James was our goalkeeper, and our defence was as wobbly as Bruce Grobbelaar's legs in '84.

I like context and perspective, I hate knee-jerk reactions.
I like real journalism, I hate advertorials.
And, like Rafa, I like the FACTS.

  5. Where is my Liverpool star?

  6. Hey Karen—Dave Mo here, a Bleacher Report Community Coordinator.

I've been spending time on our Liverpool page and read a couple of your old articles. Really on-point analysis...you do good work.

Given that you haven't written in a while, I thought I'd check in and see if you're interested in picking up your coverage again. What do you say?

If not, it would be great if you could give me some feedback on why you decided to stop writing and what we could have done to better serve you. If you wouldn't mind, please shoot me a line at dmorrison@bleacherreport.com with any thoughts.

    Thanks so much,

    Dave Mo

  7. Hey, LJ sent me your way. Here's a little something for my ladies!

  8. Karen...it's the tags that Man U stories carry that push your Liverpool articles off the top list.

This happens over on the Baseball and NFL pages too.

I keep telling B/R that the tagging system sucks and it pushes team writers to the side.

Do not give up on me Karen.

  9. Karen,

Don't quit Bleacher Report just because you've been pushed out of the top rankings. It is simply the volume of "articles" that he has produced that lead to him being put so high.

You never finished your top 10 matches that make Liverpool FC series!

  10. Football is not just for men you know

All about the best Ladies Team around

  11. Those fluff articles are cute for a minute but real people want real work at the end of the day.

Congrats on the press box job and only one league down you say!

Proof your work is righteous...as I predicted.

Myself, I have gone back to University also, I start my 2nd year in January...35 years after the first.

Post me a link to your 'other' website so that I can keep up. It's about the writing is all right?

  12. Liverpool do it again!! Read my game recap at

    Hope you enjoy!
