I understand your thinking there; however, the headline presents a double-edged sword. As soon as you place "transfer rumors" in a headline, we can only be safe in assuming that readers will take every slide as an official rumor, and therefore we must be held accountable in properly sourcing throughout.

A solution would be to tweak the headline to not include "rumors," but I know I've read Dempsey/Liverpool rumors before, so I was unsure of whether to change the headline myself or if you merely forgot a couple links.
