I am currently a Senior at Queens College and an aspiring sportswriter. I'm an intern at Stan Fischler Hockey and a columnist for The Fischler Report.
In addition to my work on Bleacher Report, I also run "NYI Faceoff Circle" (link below) and have had work featured on the Islanders' official site, as well as the CBS Sports and USA Today Sports webpages.
If you ever want to talk hockey, just post a message on my profile.
The nature of B/R allows you to overrule any edits I make. I simply don't have the time to run edits past each writer in the way that a normal editor-writer relationship works. Frankly, a lot of the writers on B/R don't respond in a timely enough manner to effectively do that. I appreciate your passion, as I don't like when editors change my stuff, either. Feel free to alter the article the way that you would like it to appear, as it's your name on the byline. If you ever want to know why I made the specific changes I did in this article (or any of your work that I end up editing), don't hesitate to ask. Typically, any changes B/R editors make are for the sake of brevity and in adherence to B/R's style guidelines. Thanks for the feedback.
Hey, would you be able to send your e mail to firstname.lastname@example.org? I want to get the B/R community leaders on a mailing list for a press release on behalf of Sports Media 101.
Nice to meet you as well. I'm gonna start reading through your stuff - looks interesting.
You are probably the most respectful Islanders fan I've ever seen, hats off to you man!!
I've received the information I needed from Adam, you can disregard my previous post. Thanks.
This is Mark Jones, the 'Canes FC. I've discovered a bit of a problem - your latest article, "The Ideal Signing for Each NHL Team", was the exact same topic as an article I am halfway finished with. This was an article chosen off of the B/R assigments list - the only problem was, I missed the deadline, though it's worth noting I've had some interaction with Adam Hirshfield over that matter. Just wondering if you know if the identical topic is mere coincidence or of any switch in authors that was made (I'm writing because I'm a bit irrated that I wasn't notified of this, although I understand completely WHY he made the switch).
Hey D- Take my comments with a grain of salt towards the guy writing the nonsense. This stems from crap he wrote on a Pens article bashing 'Cyndy" and numerous other stupid feminine comments. There's a sure fire way to pick out an immature male and that is personal attacks toward any rival superstar player. Once they get into the real world and start making about 30K a year, most adults change their tune from jealousy to envy. One thing I will never do is bash ANY player living the dream that most of us wish we could do for the big paychecks. When I read crap such as what he has been writing, its ridiculous and annoying. I may not like Tavares, but that has nothing to do with respect. Hopefully you see through my retaliations and I have no idea why the comments are showing up multiple times?? Just got my tix to the games in tampa next week- Go Pens! I can't wait to see all of the games this week, should be awesome.
haha i know man luckily my classes are in the afternoon so that was a one time thing, and st johns lost tonight damn
