About Justin »

Justin is a free-lance sportswriter. He calls De Pere, WI his home. While he loves all wisconsin sports teams the most, he is more or less just a fan of competition in general. Friendly competition is his lifeblood, and sports are the easiest way to convey that.

The Shortlist »

  • Favorite Athletes

NFL-Brett Favre (I'm not a bleeding heart, whining fan about what has happened with him), MLB-Ichiro Suzuki, NBA-Steve Nash, NHL-Joe Sakic, Honorable Mentions-Kevin Garnett, Ryan Braun, Aaron Kampman

  • Favorite Sports Teams

Packers, Brewers, Bucks, UW-Green Bay Basketball, Colorado Avalanche, Seattle Mariners, Phoenix Suns, Boston Celtics

  • All Time Sports Moment

Lame story. My High School Intramural Basketball team started a 10 game season at 0-5, then won 4 in a row, and a win in the last game put us in the playoffs. In overtime, I blocked 3 shots in route to a scoreless OT, and in the sudden death OT, i buried the game winner from the elbow. Awesome.

  • Most Memorable Game Attended

My First Packer Game. December 31st, 1994. NFC Divisional Playoff, Packers 16 Lions 12. The Packers held the great Barry Sanders to -1 yards rushing.

  • Most Unbreakable Sports Record

Cal Ripken's Consecutive Games streak. I dare anybody to break that

  • Ruth or Mays?

Ruth. While both are great, there is scarce a name as famous as Babe Ruth

  • Unitas or Montana?

Montana had more talent, but I think Unitas was better in his time.

  • Jordan or Russell?

    Jordan. Best All-Time, straight up.

  • Gretzky or Orr?

Gretzky. He started as the great one, and never looked back.

  • Pele or Maradona?

Pele. The greatest ambassador for the beautiful game.

  • Federer or Sampras?

Sampras. In his prime, the quiet giant was better than anyone I've ever seen.

  • Tiger or Nicklaus?

Tiger. He WILL break all the records, torn up leg or not.

  • Petty or Earnhardt?

Earnhardt. He and his son have done more for making NASCAR a mainstream sport than anyone ever could.

  • Schumacher or Senna?

Schumacher, because he's the only reason I know that this is a question about F1 racing.

  • Pac 10, Big 12, Big 10, SEC, ACC, or Big East?

The Big 10 gets so much flack, but i really like them. They have schools that are competitive in every sport.

Hey, I wanna introduce myself--I am the community leader for the Packers on this site. Basically, this means doing whatever I can do to be a resource for you (mostly edits for presentation, punctuation, grammar and spelling) so you can focus on making your content worthy of the greatest team in the world!
