Hi Gabe , did you see the NY sports page on BR? it is not doing to well. it only has 4 fans, i think we should make it better and take the page under are wing, its time to for us to represent NY and show the world what this great place is all about. I asked Angel Navedo to be the community leader, we will see what he says. Are you in ?

How to get known:

Participate. You've got to read other pple's articles and make lots of comments.

Make Friends. Become a fan of other writers and hopefully they'll become a fan of you. One way to speed this up might be to post bulletin's on their wall.

Write. Obviously you've got to write, and write a lot. The more material you have, the greater chance you have of getting some hits.

Be Unique. We can all go to espn.com or si.com or whatever to get a basic report on the game or a player or whatever. Try to take unique approaches. I am personally a sucker for quick-hitting, heavily opinionated type of work. I love lists, and rankings and stuff. Ppple who don't take a stand are boring. You may make enemies, but who cares.

Self Promote. If you've just written an article, tell people about it. Copy the url and post it on pple's bulletin board with a nice message. There are options to post your work on other websites too, do that.
