About

I am a fan of the Green Bay Packers. I am from Wisconsin. I have an incredibly goofy sense of humor. Thank you.

I often try to be humorous, but sometimes have "epic failures" at those attempts. I do not mean to offend or insult, but some say it comes naturally with a dry sense of humor. I would like to also add that if you want to get on my good side, please say something nice about the "More Cowbell" sketch featuring Will Ferrell on "Saturday Night Live." If you ever find yourself backed into a corner by this furry Norwegian, mention this sketch and I may double over hysterically from laughter. I'm just giving you fair warning.

I love football.

Short List

  • Favorite Athletes

Green Bay Packers: Charles Woodson, Frank Zombo, Clay Matthews, Aaron Rodgers, Tramon Williams, Sam Shields, Jordy Nelson and John "KUHHHNNN" Kuhn... There are too many to name. Bucs? Mike Alstott, all time favorite. I also liked Martin Grammatica. For a kicker, he was a saucy, feisty little fellow.

  • Favorite Sports Teams

Green Bay Packers. Tampa Bay Bucs are a close second. I am from the great State of Wisconsin, but lived in Florida and Georgia throughout my misspent youth. I am also the result of a mixed football marriage: Mom's a rabid Packers fan, Dad paints everything that doesn't run away purple and gold, due to his love of the Minnesota Vikings. No wonder I turned out the way I did.

  • Favorite Coaches

Mike McCarthy for the Packers. Tony Dungy made the Bucs smart players, and Jon Gruden made 'em mean...

  • All-Time Sports Moment

2010 Football Season, 2011 Super Bowl (for obvious reasons!)

  • Most Memorable Game Attended

Tampa Bay at Green Bay 2005, Atlanta Braves games after John Rocker left... Good times.

  • Most Unbreakable Sports Record

    Hmm... Titletown?

  • Ruth or Mays?

    They don't play football

  • Unitas or Montana?

    Aaron Rodgers!

  • Jordan or Russell?

    Again, not football players

  • Gretzky or Orr?

    Did you not see above?

  • Pele or Maradona?

    Who?

  • Federer or Sampras?

    Who again?

  • Tiger or Nicklaus?

    Come on, now.

  • Petty or Earnhardt?

Driving in circles... I can't comment

  • Schumacher or Senna?

    Huh?

  • ACC, Big 12, Big East, Big Ten, Pac-12 or SEC?

Big 10... Teach me how to Bucky. Seriously. I also enjoy watching the Georgia Bulldogs. Go Dawgs!

Your article about the Viking who stole Christmas literally made me spit out my coffee from laughing. LOVED IT!! We're both 6 feet tall and into football with a Viking lover lurking in our lives. I asked for stock, too, and just may get it!!!! Rock on, Jackie, rock on!

Yes, there is a secret. Auto-formatting is great for the headlines—but it's not perfect. It doesn't recognize the difference between to as a preposition and to as part of an infinitive verb. You have to uncheck the auto-formatting above the headline text box to correctly capitalize "to" in those necessary situations. Otherwise, auto-formatting just keeps changing it back.

Jacqueline, I really enjoyed your article about your head exploding. It isn't easy living in Erie, PA and being a Packer fan, but I can handle it. I keep hearing all sorts of nasty trash talk from the numerous Steeler folks, but I refuse to respond in kind. It kinda goes against my grain to do so and I think it's bad Karma. I think the Pack will do their work on the field and I hope another Lombardi comes home where it belongs. Keep up your excellent writing.
