Hey are you part of the Shoemaker family from Matlock, WA? I attend the High school out there and I think I have seen a couple sports awards with Shoemaker on them? Just curious.

Phil took his dog & pony show to another site, to avoid the petty editing at B/R. Find a stunning account of the Duck vs Husky game at www.conliber.wordpress.com

Alex, in a recent article posted on B/R you write: "There aren’t many Ducks in the NFL Hall of Fame, so "Tuffy" needs to be recognized on this list." You'll find that on the Top10 list there are ONLY 2 Pac-12 schools and other than USC in first place, you'll find not Washington, not UCLA, not Stanford but, that's right OREGON with the most players in the Hall of Fame. You may want to REPHRASE your statement. - FishDuck

I was more worried about the game against that damnable team to the north. Stanford? I'm not that worried. Ducks win and it won't even be that close.

    you?

sorry just got your comment. Yes, I was a bit worried. Not too, but a bit. Keith price's numbers were a bit disconcerting to me, and our performances against WSU and CAL were less than stellar.

After the fact? 8 IN A ROW, BABY! SUCK ON THAT, FUSKIES! Loved seeing the Dawgs "Bow Down". Now we just need a rose bowl win and their stupid arguments of superiority will all but disintegrate.

did ya see the goofiness associated with a streaker in last night's game in Tuscon ? don't know how you feel, but I'm gonna enjoy picking on "Trojans 4 Life" about now UCLA can become 'bowl eligible' at USC's expense. Arizona's early schedule certainly didn't help Mike Stoops out, did it ? being only 30 miles away from Iowa City before moving to North Carolina, I kinda feel for the guy; ya know, he's a former Hawkeye.

our Little Joe (remember 'Bonanza' ? OOPS ! well - there's still the 'reruns' - Ha !) has another article on "today's MENU" grading ONLY the BCS coaches. didn't bother with it...but did leave a comment, if ya care to check it out - given the # of 'slides', it's fairly obvious he didn't even include Boise, TCU, or one of my other favorites - Nevada. if he's not gonna at least grade Chris Ault, his article is pointless & personally worthless as well. I could understand leaving out the 'first year coaches' in the 'non BCS' conferences, but Ault (as well as Blakeney at TROY, Cristobal, & Schnellenberger - for just a few examples) should've been included. I tire QUICKLY of all this 'BCS only' emphasis...but that's just "me, being me".

hey Alex - good morning, sir. unfortunately (for me, anyway) - part of the "fun" (?) is pickin' at Joe, as it was to an even LARGER extent with Amy Lamare (rhymes with "BIZARRE" ?) & her WEAKly game predictions. the problem, with BOTH writers, is not so much the writers themselves...but with READERS who would "accept what's written" as gospel. so...that's WHY my 'sarcastic' comments are made - to encourage the "unsuspecting" readers to do the research that those columnist/contributors evidently don't feel is necessary. of course, it has ABSOLUTELY NOTHING to do with the fact that I 'submitted a sample article' which was rejected by the B/R staff !?!?! NOTHING at all - Ha ! well, Marty has a potentially interesting piece about HELMETS, and...quite NATURALLY the 'lead in' photo is OREGON's. here's to ANOTHER Quack Attack victory, eh ? appreciate the dialogue, man. keep it coming, O.k? (note the intentional capital "O") - have a SUPER weekend.

hey Alex - "Thanks" (seriously) for your comment about bashing good ol' Joe Penkala. while I realize he's probably got 'deadlines' to live by EACH WEEK in doing his RANKings, I just wish he'd take the time during the week to research more than W/L records...but then again, it might take the fun out of picking on him, eh ? he's not getting a lot of comments, and probably would get more if his low rankings made as much sense as the higher ones - oh well, eh ? BY THE WAY, the Ducks are one of my favorites...in spite fo some of the 'uni' combinations - can't get much uglier, though, than some of those BIZARRE Terrapin disasters. your opinion on uniforms ? Thanks again - see ya at Autzen in a year or tow, when I make my move your way from NC.
