Hi there, my name is Katie Evans and Im a sports writer, mainly with my passion for the Detroit Red Wings. I grew up in suburban Detroit so I have always been around the dedicated fan base. When I was 4 my dad taught me all the basics that I needed to know about hockey and the rest is history.

I was Co-Editor-in-Chief of my high school newspaper and currently starting my first journalism classes with this being my first year of college.

    hi Katie, i edited your game story today. i added a couple commas and made a couple of suggestions in phrasing. keep what you like. this was a great game, my seats are in the end the Caps skate twice and i had a perfect angle on Ovie's second goal. i'll look forward to reading more of your game stories.
