About

I am a die hard New York Giants' fan. The Giants are my primary focus, but I really like writing anything about football: college or pro. Basketball and baseball are cool too, and along with football, are my main topics of choice. Occasionally, I may throw in another sport, but not too often will I find the time to do so. My favorites are the NY Giants, LA Lakers, NY Yankees, USC and Rutgers for all sports, and Duke for basketball. I also am a fan of Florida, Florida State, Miami (don't ask why all three), Texas, and Notre Dame. I'm trying to get better as a sportswriter and am looking for any opportunity I can get my hands on. Feel free to comment on any of my work, since I'm always open to new ideas and opinions. Also, shoot anything my way that you might want me to look at. I like reading what other people have to say.

Hey, Jake, I may have to take back all of those nice things I wrote to you. I just checked your bio. You don't have any love for the SEC, Alabama or Nick Saban. You like Les Miles, who Saban out coached by a huge margin in the NCG. You also like Urban Meyer, who rode Tim Tebow to a win over Saban in the 2008 SEC championship game and to a big win in the NCG. Returning all 11 starters and Tebow in 2009, Saban's Crimson Tide blew out Meyer, Tebow, et al by 32-13 in the SEC championship rematch on the way to their own NC win over Texas. In the 2010 regular season, Meyer's Gator's lost to Saban and Alabama by 31-6. Meyer retired.
BTW, I like both Mles and Meyer. Meyer is a better coach, IMO, and will dominate the Big Ten. One coach we agree on is legendary coach Bobby Bowden. Bobby was a client of mine, so he and the 'Noles are very high on my list.

Jake, I was the agent for Bo Jackson. I just ran across the outstanding article you wrote a couple of years ago on "what might have been" had Bo not suffered the hip injury. It is a rarity as it is accurate. Virtually all articles on Bo contain significant inaccuracies. I commend you. Second, you wrote about Bo's many wonderful personal characteristics which are unknown to the public and are infrequent among elite athletes. Again, great job! Please feel free to contact me if you wish.
