Franklin's Bio
I am an old school Alabama fan. I live, eat, and sleep college football. I played the game, so I know a little about the sacrifices these kids have to make. I have been involved with Alabama football since Bear Bryant's glory days. I have witnessed Alabama winning 7 National Championships..
When I die I plan to have my ashes spread over Bryant-Denny stadium. I only ask that I live long enough to see Alabama win another national championship. It's beginning to look like my days are numbered!
I have been banned from AuburnUndercover, TigerDroppings, Gatorenvy and Volnation for telling it like it is...

I need that good Alabama take on this. What about Tenn-Wisky in the Outback, LSU-Ohio St in the Citrus, Auburn-Nebraska-OU winner in the Cotton Bowl, Carolina vs Fla State in the Music as Spurrier faces down Bowden at the Grand Old Opry. Georgia sentenced to the Peach to play VPI!
I hope this article turns out to be a pre-Holiday treat.
I'll look to hear from you when you get a chance.

Franklin, take the hint. Banned from how many boards? You pretend you're telling it like it is, but you're just a troll bent on agitating your rival's fans. It's a little pathetic. Do you write about anything other than whatever negative spin you can give other teams and their coaches?
As far as supporting Kiffin in this recent issue about officiating. Yes, I support him. Remember, perception is reality. When the #1 team is playing at home, and they're only flagged once, despite being the 71st worst offenders in the country as far as penalties, while their opponent is flagged 10 times, despite being one of the least penalized teams in the country (#3), something's probably amiss. Combine that with the reputation of SEC officiating crews (specially recently), and the sheer number of SEC coaches publicly criticizing them, and you have just cause.
The end of game thing with Cody is just one example. Conveniently, almost every time UT drove deep into Bama territory, they got slapped with at least one penalty, even a false start when the Bama D-lineman clearly jumped into the neutral zone and caused the UT guy to move. You can go back and watch the game objectively (though I coubt you're capable of that) and see how many missed calls there were that favored each team. I'm sure they missed a few of UT's, but none that were obvious and blatent. That's not true in Bama's case.
The Cody thing is a rule that seems to be up to interpretation. Kiffin's interpretation is that the play wasn't over (which it wasn't) and that it was a defensive infraction because the ball had not yet been recovered by the Bama players. That would mean the penalty would be enforced, even though time expired, and there would be a re-play of the down. My personal opinion is that they should have thrown the flag, and then the officials could huddle together and decide what to do. Whatever they decided, it would have probably settled that particular issue right there.
As for the other, Slive needs to step up and do something about the attrocious officiating going on all across the league. If half the coaches in the league have publicly criticized it, there's something there.
If Bama had lost the game, and the penalty stats were reversed, I'm confident Saban -- and you -- would be whining about it just as loudly as anybody else.

Glad to hear you've recovered Franklin! Those nail-biters surely are tough on the psyche, but I would prefer them to the game being all but over in the third quarter (in the opposing team's favor), as Washington's game against Oregon turned out.
Sometimes a bye week isn't such a bad thing; it gives the heart a bit of a rest!
