Jorge's Bio
Eyy, so my name is Jorge. I'm currently a freshman at Yale University and undecided about my major. I'm a sportswriter for my school's daily newspaper, The Yale Daily News — the nation's oldest college daily. I also am a staff member of Yale Radio and plan to host a show in the fall and I have an internship with my city's newspaper, the Worcester Telegram & Gazette, this summer as a sportswriter. I love sports and before college, playing sports was pretty much all I did. I've known playing sports won't amount to much for me so I hope to make a career in sports another way, hopefully journalism. Besides journalism, I play IMs and am in a couple cultural clubs at school. I'm excited about Bleacher Report and I hope to use this site to continue improving my sportswriting.

I actually agree with you that european players lack defensive skills. Gasol and Vujacic are great on offense, but useless on defense. What LA really lacked was a great solid defensive player, Kobe is a great offensive machine and when he was with Shaq he could rely on him to block and take care of the defensive end. But Gasol isn't reall the defensive center that shaq was, so the lakers couldn't do it despite kobes scoring talent. I think that the stojakovic's and nowitzki's and other euros need to learn some more defensive awareness to truly benefit the NBA. Offense isn't enough to win championships.
