Eric has yet to fill out a bio.
this offseason i wanted to sign chad greenway , or desmond bishop....but ya i am a paul fan, but any rational person would also agree that you are wrong in this debate, and you are a vaughn fan, i looked back....you drop credentials, say oh i played, i work for a team, back and forth with knowledgeable fans....you come off like brat. We know our football, and no journalist gives us the time a day. Any up an comer has a shot to grab this whole market if they reprt on the jags well, and often..the base that reads BR would follow you till retirementm but you wanna argue like a kid when your wrong...now go and see how you fair with stephen a smith up in philly...im sure you ould have a better shot in that media
you do not get it....for the pass past 4 years there stats have not only been comparable but in 2 cases pauls were better..we are talking about your comment that he was replaceable...if thats your opinion that guys who have basically identical stats , who until this year both played for teams who had identical records, are so different that one can just be let go and no one would miss him"replaceable" and the other is the best in the league. Makes you 1 thing and 1 thing only
Paul is better than Pat Willis? Okay man, you must the biggest Paul fan in the world. Willis is clearly the best LB in football. Just because had numbers comparable to Willis does not mean he's better. Romo had more TD's than Peyton Manning, does that mean Romo is better than him or was in 2007? I think not.
before you say it, i reallyy don't care about your days covering the philidelphia roller derby team, or you glory days at , or your Junior Varsity years at ben franklin,or south phili HIGH
oh and before you put your foot in your mouth again, hargaugh switched them to 4-3 this year,so they played the exact same position
ur kidding, i copy and pasted the stats from the NFL, of the top 40 defensive players, which takes in 2 account tackles, which he was 12th, sacks, he was low on those, he had 2 picks, 2 FF, and 11 pass DF,if you read what i wrote i clearly said this list players that stat wise according to NFL stats were less productive. OH and i just don;t see how you can defend yourself when you throw out a huge name like willis and say "that is someone who is irreplaceable" when paul had 119 tackls, Pat 97- They both had 2 sacks, Paul had 2 INT- Pat had 1--passes defended 1 had 12 other 11, FF, pat 4 -paul-2----so actually paul is better, unless journalism is about opinion when it comes to stats
You realize you have some DB's on that list. I don't know how you say Paul a more productive year than a DB, but okay. I'm actually a Jags fan and watched Jags games. I never said he was bad player I just said he's simply replaceable. Paul is not a top 5 LB in the league. He's not that good. He's good, but not that good. Thus, making him replaceable. A guy like Pat Willis is irreplaceable, Paul is not Pat Willis. If you disagree with my opinion, that does not mean I lack journalistic integrity. You simply disagree. Now if I messed up facts on a consistent basis, or just copy and pasted other people's work (like you admitted) then I would lack it. Again, I appreciate the feedback.
it is not a debate, you were wrong, You spatted about something you did not know. That is why you have 53 comments saying the same thing on that article,No one in the jags fan base or organization, or anyone that watched the games would say paul poslunsky "who i just showed with copy and pasted stats is a top 5 ILB in the whole NFL isnt cutting it, or we can afford to lose him.. That by definition is lack of journalistic credibility, i mean c mon just stick to easy stuff like if the packers or ravens are going to win sundays game. you know Facts
Thanks for reading the story. By the way, I actually watch a lot of football and cover it for a living. I also work for a football team as well. I also played football. You can disagree with me all you want. I welcome a good debate from the readers. No need to question my credibility as a writer. Thanks for reading and commenting though.
