Kayte's Bio

I am currently a senior at Illinois State University working on an English/Communications degree. I have been a cheerleader for several years and am also a member of the Zeta Tau Alpha sorority here at ISU. I am originally from the Cleveland area so I support my hometown sports teams first and foremost. My dream job would be to work for the NFL as a Public Relations consultant or within their communications department, but I am very excited to have an internship with Bleacher Report as a Sports Editor.

  1. How bout you write another article ....

  2. Hey thanks for the comment, I really appreciated it.
For sure I'll let you if I need anything, thanks

  3. Hey I grew up in Cleveland too and used to be a huge Browns fan.... I lived on Harcourt Drive in the heights and went to US...where did you live?

  4. Thanks for that Kayte! I love hearing back from anyone who reads my stuff, good or bad, because it's always interesting to see what people thought.

I'll have to admit... the idea came easily, but formatting the article so that comparing the two careers made sense was actually a bit of a challenge, and I was worried that, not only would it be another Favre article, that it would be a unsuccessful Favre article. Thanks for letting me know it turned out well!

Here on B.R. I work mainly in the NHL and MLB, and usually only dabble in the NFL in the regular season, but the more I've watched the more comfortable I've felt assessing the offseason (it's been about a five year journey haha).

Feel free to look up more of my stuff; every so often I'll try to thrown in some pop culture references or something to keep everyone on their toes! Congrats on the placement at B.R., hope you're having a blast!

  5. Kayte, thanks for taking the time to edit my first article! I appreciate your input and welcome any suggestions you may have for my future efforts.

Ruth over Mays? Awesome! Keep up the good work!

    Steve Z.

  6. Thanks for the edit on my story and congratulations with your internship with BleacherReport.com

You are a way pretty girl...

    Best,

    Ryne Higgins

  7. Hey Kayte,

I just wanted to let you know that Bleacher Report has launched out of beta with an updated look and feel and some great new features. Check out the "Game On" link in the header to find out more.

Next week we'll be launching the site to the world with some public announcements—and it'd be great to get a contribution from you between now and Tuesday to make Bleacher Report's launch a success.

Let me know if you need any help with ideas or have questions. Have a great weekend Kayte!

    Zander

  14. thanks for the edits and advise

  15. Kayte, thanks for all of your help editing. Just remember to 1) Insert a picture, 2) Run a spell check, and 3) write/edit a teaser for every article you work on.

In addition, we spell out numbers 0-9 every time, unless they're part of a stat line. So:

Nichols had a good night from the field (21 Pts, 7 Rbs, 3 Stls).
    --BUT--
Nichols had a good night from the field, scoring 21 points, with seven rebounds and three steals.

Thanks again for all your hard work!
