Sports fan, used to write a lot, wishes he wrote more.

I am a huge sports fan... and becoming an even bigger one as I age (need something to distract a guy from booze n' girls).

I would probably write a lot about the Winnipeg Goldeyes in the Northern League of Baseball but that doesn't seem possible here... yet. I may ask when and if I end up writing a lot here in the future... so lets leave that until next season.

I am however glad to see that I can write once in a while about the Manitoba Moose, although I don't follow them as hardcore as the Goldeyes.

I just got into curling last year in a big way. Took some lessons, went to the Tim Horton's Brier that took place here in Winnipeg and it was a blast! I can't wait to play in a league this winter. If you live in Winnipeg, you'll know that you've GOT to find something to do during the long cold winters... television sports can only tie me over for a bit... that... plus I'd become this couch blob that can't move by summer.

All that is moot though because my favorite all time sport is football, the North American kind. My ranking is: CFL (Winnipeg Blue Bombers of course), then NCAA, although I have to admit am kind of new to it so am just learning about it, then NFL (used to be a pretty big MN Vikings fan).

On occasion I take up some hockey (Canucks!), Rugby, and a little Lacrosse.

Yup, I like a pretty wide variety of sports... just don't make me watch golf okay?
