Maryland Baseball: The Dawn of a New Era

Best known for leading The Avalon School's (Gaithersburg, MD) Varsity baseball team to the Maryland State Private School championship (he holds an Avalon career record of 101-56), Patrick Duffy continues his leadership of Black Knight varsity baseball, and returns as head coach of Middle School football, where he served as offensive coordinator for two years. In addition, Patrick is teaching physical Education and lower school Language Arts.
A former baseball coach at Walter Johnson High School and Georgetown Day School, Patrick served for six years as a substitute teacher, a youth sports instructor, lifeguard, and camp director at the Bethesda Chevy Chase YMCA.
When not helping Avalonians hone their skills on the field, Patrick looks forward to working with the Clarksburg baseball community. He also enjoys a part-time career in real estate with RK Ashton Real Estate Inc.
Though I like Randy Edsall, and think he will be a good coach, as you clearly do, I wish that the Terps had signed Josh McDaniels as their coach.
