I want to let you all know that I not be very active for the near future. I will try to read all articles posted to my board, but will not be doing much writing or commenting. Hope to resume the great sporting interaction with you all very soon.

A Los Angeles born hard core fan who has been based in LA, Orange and San Diego counties. Dabbled in radio while in college, now helping folks real estate wise in the Glendale-Burbank part of Los Angeles.

Avid follower of the major team sports: baseball, football, hockey, soccer and hoops.

Have the greatest appreciation for a collection of individuals who are able to put their personal concerns aside to achieve a team goal.

Philosophies in sport:
1- Offense scores points, defense wins games.
2- Don't talk (crap) before you putt.
3- Don't worry about the horse being blind, just load the wagon.
4- If you want to smell the roses, you gotta deal with the thorns.
5- Baseball is Life, Football is Passion

Hey J.C.,
Totally understand what you meant. Life happens...and while I like to be on B/R all the time, life calls, and I have to remove myself from this awesome place and work.
Let's face it J.C., whether we like the Bruins or Trojans, we need to stick together and support Dodger Blue (even if we separate on college sports). It's how life rolls, and we show our true color by accepting those who don't share the same opinons. So, guess what? You're alright in my books (you Trojan love, Bruin hater B/R member you!) =)

Oh! Now I see about the Glaus comment. No offense had been taken, by the way. Just wondering. That'd be a great idea! I liked how you said they're good looking Hollywood type guys. I never thought of them that way because I just loved the way they played. Troy Glaus, too. So that's interesting...maybe I'll do a Bruin Report, and since you love the Dodgers and all that encompasses LA, you'll want to read it. But, again, my editing takes longer than my writing, so I'll definitely get on that and put it in my "works in progress" folder.

Until then, rock on Lakers! And...so sad about the loss to the Cubs. Come on...we lost to the Cubs! Seriously?

It's good to be an LA fan. We're really rockin' the boat right now!

Thanks for the insight. I guess we've been kind of spoiled by the Vin-master, haven't we?

I was just curious about what people thought about Karros, because I love the guy, but I've always had a special liking for him when he was a player for the Dodgers. He's kind of a sentimental favorite of mine.

So I greatly appreciate the response to that. And yeah, I know about that Andrew guy. He's lucky he's a good writer. Otherwise, it'd be a different story.

Glad to have a fellow Dodgers fan like yourself to keep up with the LA talk. Keep bleeding Dodger Blue, and I look forward to your next piece!

Hey JC, thanks for the welcome. I do intend to start writing... I already have the theme for my first B/R article; it's just a matter of sitting down to hammer it out. I'm a writer/editor for a living, so it's not too much of a stretch. (I'm one of the many, many LA Times former journos.) Hello JC. I am sorry you got dragged into the dispute about Favre. My recent part on my profile was something I had been meaning to put up for awhile. I would never want that on anybody but Favre is the exception. I could go on all day on why I dislike him. But mainly it is because I want the real Brett Favre back. I hate this guy he has become in recent years. People are entitled to disagree and I don't care who still thinks he is God. I still dislike him. My issue with Iowa Chick started awhile back when I wrote an opinion article on him. She said it was shortsighted. That irritated me because I could go all day on why I dislike him. She can disagree respectfully. That is fine but don't tell me I am shortsighted on something I feel strongly about. And I won't bother her or anybody else. I just went and commented on her article because I saw a comment she made on an article about Favre written by one of my fans Josh. So I remembered her. I made the vomit comment to show her how it feels to get such a comment from an article.

Thanks so much for your note. Sometimes I need a Guy's view as well as a CL. You gave me good advice and I will follow it. I left Fox sports because of all the trash talk and was so happy to find B/R! I do wonder about folks like this guy who wish for career ending injuries.. that seems so violent, butI will move along and leave it to be judged for what it is. Thanks again!!! Your a good guy!

Hey there- saw your post as a community leader for writer Erin. If you think he was not befitting B/R before, go read his profile today, which he altered tonight after trashing my article (which is fine) on "Why Everyone Has an Opinion on Brett Favre." Neither his first post on my column (when he thought he would vomit), nor the addition of comments on his profile ( where he hopes for a career ending injury to BF) seem appropriate. Just my opinion. Let me know if you think I am out of line. Just writing because I saw your apology for being "harsh."
