This article is really fantastic and thanks for sharing the valuable post.
I noticed, when reviewing the new Beyond the Bleachers section, that you were the expert selected for MMA. I wanted to let you know that my brother is the trainer (actually the boxing coach) for the fighters out of Jeff Curran's gym in Crystal Lake Illinois (Including Jeff Curran): http://www.jeffcurran.tv/jeffcurran/default.asp
If you need any help with contacts for interviews out of this gym please feel free to let me know. I cannot make any guarantees but I might be able to help. You can email me directly at firstname.lastname@example.org.
In addition, I am the author of "Becoming a True Champion: A Handbook for Young Athletes Aiming for Greatness," http://www.becomingatruechampion.com/, and the Blog "The Athletes Sporting Experience: Making a Difference," http://www.becomingatruechampion.blogspot.com/, which I also publish here at Bleacher Report. Both the book and blog are written with the idea of making a difference in the loss of perspective in sports, especially youth sports, and the true lack of understanding that so many have regarding how "true" athletic success is achieved. I would welcome any thoughts on either the website or blog that you might be willing to give. Publication of my book is still in the works through the Denise Marcil Literary Agency in New York.
Thank you for your time and good luck on this new section of Bleacher Report. It looks interesting and I will be checking back often to see what is new.
PS - My brother has told me on more then one occasion that Chuck Norris is one of the few actor/fighters that he believes is the "real deal" when it comes to the fighting game
I just wanted to let you know that Bleacher Report has launched out of beta with an updated look and feel and some great new features. Check out the "Game On" link in the header to find out more.
Next week we'll be launching the site to the world with some public announcements—and it'd be great to get a contribution from you between now and Tuesday to make Bleacher Report's launch a success.
Let me know if you need any help with ideas or have questions. Have a great weekend Ann!
I am so dumb! I left a comment for you and thought I was leaving it here on your site and left it on my site under Matt's poem! I am not really computer literate and do really stupid things like this all the time; it's a wonder I can publish anything.
