All-Time Sports Moment
Joe Germaine's game-winning drive against Arizona State in the 1997 Rose Bowl. I love this for two reasons: 1. Jake Plummer spent most of this drive "raising the roof" on the sideline, so when the game was over my dad ran around our neighborhood raising said "roof" in mockery, screaming obscenities pointed at The Snake. 2. Brent Musberger said during the drive, "The Buckeyes don't have to try to win it here." It was that game that I realized the magnitude of what it means to be a fan.

Most Memorable Game Attended
I actually got to see South Carolina upset Alabama at Willie-Brice in 2010. No one gave the Gamecocks a chance to win, especially when Garcia gave Bama a friggin' safety throwing the ball through the end zone. That is one play I still don't and probably never will understand. We didn't get to rush the field, but the postgame tailgating made up for that in full. I caught a 6 a.m. flight the next morning to make it to the Reds' first home playoff game in 15 years. That unfortunately was memorable for the wrong reasons, and Walt Jocketty still has not responded to my email requesting flight reimbursement.

Most Unbreakable Sports Record
Pete Rose's hit record; love him or hate him, no one has come even close to it.
-
Ruth or Mays?
As a Red Sox fan, the choice should be obvious.
-
Unitas or Montana?
Joe Montana put the knife in my heart at an early age as he cost me perhaps my only opportunity to see the Bengals win a Super Bowl in this lifetime.
-
Jordan or Russell?
Russell has more rings than he has fingers, but MJ was the defining athlete of this generation. He's the standard to which all basketball players are held, as which they should be. Plus he made "Space Jam", which unfortunately (or fortunately, depending how you look at it) Russell can't touch.
-
Gretzky or Orr?
Orr was all defense, Gretzky was all offense...can you imagine the hybrid of a player these two could produce?
-
Pele or Maradona?
Brazil never lost a game with Pele and Garrincha on the field. If you're 50 percent of the reason why your team always wins, I would say that qualifies you for "best ever" status.
-
Federer or Sampras?
Even though Federer has accomplished more, I give Sampras the edge here. The Sampras-Agassi rivalry had an extra element (maybe it was Agassi's wig?) that Federer-Nadal is lacking.
-
Tiger or Nicklaus?
Nicklaus. GO BUCKS!
-
Petty or Earnhardt?
The man, the myth, the mustache. Oh they both had one? I'll take the King.
-
Schumacher or Senna?
Truth be told, I had my first Formula 1 experience when I attended my first Indy 500 last year. I spent most of the day dragging a cooler around the infield, applying SPF 50 every 15 minutes and waiting almost an hour to get a cab back to the city.

ACC, Big 12, Big East, Big Ten, Pac-12 or SEC?
Even though I'll get a lot of disagreements here (football-speaking), I'm Big Ten born and bred. I will say, though, that everyone needs to experience at least one SEC tailgate.
