About

I am an avid sports fan from the great state of Oklahoma - Native America! The wind does come sweeping down the plains, but there are times there is no wind either and it can get quite humid and muggy. I am 33 years old and am a native of Kansas. I am a die-hard Kansas Jayhawks fan; particularly basketball. I was very pleased in their season last year for football and feel they may finally be better than a cellar dweller. I have also been known to enjoy Nebraska Cornhusker football due to living there several years as a youth. I was a strong Husker supporter from 1983 through 2002. I moved to Oklahoma in 1996 and once I moved to Oklahoma it was quite difficult to find any media for Nebraska. Saying that word in this state is bordering along the lines of blasphemy. I decided to go along the lines of the old saying, "If you can't beat them, join them." It wasn't until 2003 that I became a Sooner football fan and have been one ever since. I attended my first ever college football game when Oklahoma destroyed Texas A&M 77-0. That was a memorable game and created a love for Sooner Football inside me. I love college football more than any other sport and will watch any team play, but if you are playing against the Sooners, then my allegiance is with them as it was when I watched OU play Nebraska in the Big 12 Championship in 2006. That was bittersweet, but I loved every minute of watching OU clinch the championship over my 1st love Huskers.
