David's Bio

Hey everyone,

My name is David Cassilo and for as long as I can remember I've loved sports. After I realized my shortcomings as an actual athlete, I decided somehow I had to have a career in sports. Journalism seemed to be the best way to pursue that career, and since deciding that I have been doing everything possible to achieve that goal. Currently, I'm a sophomore at Villanova University where I cover sports for the school paper and host a weekly sports talk show.

I like to think I have a very vast knowledge about almost every sport. However, I would say my strongest fields would be MLB, the NFL and college basketball. I try to be as objective as possible in my articles (as hard as that was when I watched the Giants make their run to the Super Bowl). The fun part of sports journalism is that everything is open to debate, so if you ever would like to discuss my article or anything in sports leave me some feedback here or e-mail me. Other than that, I hope everyone enjoys what I write and becomes more informed because of it.

-David

  1. Despite being your absolute foil when it comes to favorite sports teams, I really enjoy your college basketball posts and knowledge. I look forward to reading more of your work David!

P.S. - I Can't disagree with your picks for favorite athletes (especially Jason Kidd and Eddie House). I hope 'Nova can pull it out against Clemson. I'd love to see a Villanova/Vanderbilt second round game... I think it'd bode well for your guys.

  2. It should be all set now. Let me know if it doesn't look quite right.

    All best,
    Gracie
