About

Born and raised in Baltimore, Md., I love writing about and talking Baltimore sports. If you want to distract me from just about anything I'm doing, simply mention the word Ravens, Orioles, or Terps.

One of my fondest childhood memories is going to Memorial Stadium with my father to cheer on Cal Ripken and Eddie Murray. The chants of "EDDIE! EDDIE! EDDIE!" are still engraved deeply in my memory.

My favorite Baltimore sports memory is the Ravens' Super Bowl XXXV victory and attending the victory parade in the pouring rain.

My least favorite Baltimore sports memory is the last 11 seasons of Orioles baseball.

I was recently chosen the winner of WNST's King of Baltimore Sportstalk Competition and currently cover the Ravens for WNST.net. You can read my blog at http://wnst.net/wordpress/lukejones/

Here, I analyze the Ravens 53-man roster, but this is just one part of it. It's the offense. Give it a look.

There's still another year of football left to be played this decade.

But it's never too early for a list. Here is my NFL All-Decade team, position by position. Let me know what you think...

Please give me your thoughts on this.

So far, the O's are 28-37, certainly better than most expected. What some O's fans are loving right now is Brad Bergesen, the rookie who is 4-2 with a 3.79 ERA (3-0, 1.69 last 4 starts). He's not the leader of the cavalry, but....

Jake Arrieta is the 36th overall prospect in baseball. He can't be underrated, can he? Can he? Wrong.
