I am a December 2009 graduate of the Journalism and Media Studies program at the University of South Florida St. Petersburg campus. Since August 2007, I have been a correspondent for the St. Petersburg Times, now Tampa Bay Times, covering high school athletics. I am a huge sports fan who grew up and still lives in the Tampa Bay Area of Florida. Naturally, that means I am a Tampa Bay Lightning, Tampa Bay Rays, Tampa Bay Buccaneers and USF Bulls fan. I am also a huge fan of the Auburn Tigers as my parents both went to Auburn, Hockey is definately my No. 1 sport. I became a Lightning fan in 2004 and have not looked back since. I go to a lot of Lightning games each season and my favorite players would have to be Marty St. Louis, Steven Stamkos and Vinny Lecavalier. My dream is to one day work for the Tampa Bay Lightning in their communications department.

    I remember most every game that I attend-especially Lightning games.

    probably Wayne Gretzky's record of 50 goals in 30 games. Stamkos was on that pace earlier this season but he went six games without a goal.

    I don't watch boxing enough to have an opinion on this.

  • Unitas or Montana?

    Montana probably.

  • Jordan or Russell?

    Jordan I guess. I'm not that big into the NBA though.

  • Gretzky or Orr?

    Gretzky by far.

  • Pele or Maradona?

    I don't know these names.

  • Federer or Sampras?

    Sampras I guess.

  • Tiger or Nicklaus?

    Not a huge golf fan but I guess Tiger.

  • Petty or Earnhardt?

    Earnhardt.

  • Schumacher or Senna?

    I don't know these names either.

  • ACC, Big 12, Big East, Big Ten, Pac-12 or SEC?

    SEC or Big East by far. SEC is the toughest conference in the NCAA but the Big East is definately among the top 3 when we are talking about tough conferences to play in.

    comparing stamkos to crosby shows women shouldnt watch sports let alone talk about it. crosby put up 50 points in 25 games while kunitz and dupuis where his wingers. the comparison is laughable at best.

    Lauren, just because it's the off season doesn't mean there no Lightning hockey stuff to write about! You remember every game you ever went to? How about watch parties? :O)

    Also, you wrote "Ruth or Mays? - I don't watch boxing enough to have an opinion on this."...Boxing? Didn't know what Babe Ruth and Willie Mays did in the off season but I never would of guessed boxing ;O) Just kidding :O)
