Jay Walden began his career in graphic design following graduation from college in 1977. From ‘77 to ‘96, Jay not only developed his graphic skills and expertise through agency design work in New York, Washington, DC, and Richmond, Virginia, but also took a 3-year hiatus to earn a Master’s Degree in Land Planning and Design from NC State University in 1991. The experience of obtaining a seemingly unrelated educational degree, however, led to the founding in 1996 of Renaissance Creative Media, Inc. (RCM) which, at the time, was conceived as an outside agency source for high-end presentation and marketing graphics for architecture and land planning firms.
Given, though, that graphic design/marketing/advertising is a ubiquitous need to most all businesses, it was a natural direction for Jay to extend RCM’s client list well beyond the land development niche.
Today, under Jay's art direction and business management, RCM, Inc. offers an expansive and award-winning list of graphic design, marketing, and advertising services to a wide range of client specialties.
On a more personal note, Jay has coached youth baseball and football for the City of Raleigh for 6 years now and sees no end to this most satisfying endeavor. Additionally, he is the proud Dad of two young teenage athletes with whom he has spent countless hours over the years - selflessly grooming each toward the ultimate goal of professional baseball and/or football superstardom...and, thusly, the means by which they can one day buy him that house on the beach he's always wanted(!!!).
