James E King III, former multiple sports player, now hard-nose, “smashmouth” sports fan and critic. Born in Youngstown Ohio, graduating high school in tough Newark, NJ, James acquired his extensive knowledge and love of the games, from the neighborhood courts, high school heroes, and “street legends” of the late 60's thru mid ‘70's.

From the “STEEL CURTAIN’ to Chuck Daly’s “BAD BOYZ”, I have loved those athletes that take to the “no-nonsense” approach to their craft. And after watching, local legends like Jack Tatum, Tony Dorsett, Dan Marino, Curtis Martin, Rocky Blier, among others, in some cases cooking for (different profile), and listening to the “whining prima donnas” in many of the various sports venues, I decided the write for “my niche”; the “Old-School”, REAL SPORT fans.
