Ian's Bio

I became a huge Chargers fan only when I moved away from San Diego. That year, my classmates got on me about "my" 1992 San Diego Chargers starting 0 - 4. "My" team at the time was the Atlanta Falcons (being from Georgia and all). Any real Charger fan knows what happened next. The Chargers proceeded to win 12 of their next 14 games and reeled me in a little bit, but not all the way. A couple of years later, when my beloved San Diego Padres broke my heart by not playing the 1994 season, the Chargers started 6 - 0 and the passion I had for the Padres was transferred to the Chargers. The lackluster support I was giving the Chargers was transferred to the Padres. Even after the Padres showed up in the World Series, I didn't care because the Chargers sucked! I never experienced anything like when the Bolts defeated the big mouthed Steelers in the AFC Championship game and I've been hooked ever since.

  1. Hey Ian,

I just wanted to let you know that Bleacher Report has launched out of beta with an updated look and feel and some great new features. Check out the "Game On" link in the header to find out more.

Next week we'll be launching the site to the world with some public announcements—and it'd be great to get a contribution from you between now and Tuesday to make Bleacher Report's launch a success.

Let me know if you need any help with ideas or have questions. Have a great weekend Ian!

  2. Hey, I said what I had to say. I'll let you have your piece, it's only fair.

  3. I almost give you credit for a little journalistic integrity. You ask why no one is questioning Champ. Maybe becuase he has been selected to numerous Pro Bowls, as as Tom Nalen, who you question too. Nalen, although fined for his actions, was not flagged. Olshansky, in his infinite wisdom, retaliated, which did draw a flag, perpetuate the Broncos drive, and showed HIS lack of class, which you somehow failed to mention. Until Rivers wins a playoff game, he shouldn't open his mouth. He hands off to best running back and passes to the best tight end in the league. Maybe if the Broncos took performance enhancing drugs like the Chargers they could compete better.

Side note: Never mention Philip Rivers in the same breath as John Elway
