What NFL Teams Are Playing For in Week 17 and How It Affects Fantasy Football
December 28, 2010
I've lived in the mid-west my entire life, except for the 5 years I trekked (also known as "drove") out west to attend college. Yes, I said 5 years. Good times were those years.
I'm pretty sure I was put on this planet to live and breathe all things fantasy football. In February, when the football season ends, I enter into a rather dark depression. This lasts about 1.5 months until the NFL draft goes down - then all of the sudden I'm back again - full force, writing about sleepers, doing positional rankings, and participating in meaningless mock drafts. Some might call it a disease.
To that end, I decided to start blogging about it - even built a website dedicated to helping people whale on their opponents: FFArmory.com. I know plenty about the hobby - have notched 5 championships in the last 10 years of playing, to go along with my 4 total points crowns (the true barometer of success in a fantasy football league). Am I an expert? Sure, why not.
For now, I am content with spewing my opinion and sharing my knowledge about fantasy football and the NFL. I have a pretty oddball relationship to the sport of hockey; ask me about it sometime, and I'll try to explain. I don't pretend to know anything substantive about baseball, bowling, or golf, but put me next to Bill Simmons, and he'll come to understand why the 1991-1998 minus 1994-1995 Bulls were better than any Celtic dynasty.
