It is a complicated system in play, but I would say that the people reading transfer rumour articles on hear are not regular contributors like you or I. They are coming from Google News, or another link. So it depends whether you want the reads, wherever they come from, or you want to start some discussion with your friends and peers on here.

What is for sure though, is that good articles will still get the number of reads they deserve (I will see to that). For some reason though, transfer articles involving Arsenal always seem to make a big splash.

Hey Abhinav, no worries about the edit.

I see what you are saying, it is just that B/R guidelines force me to rate pure news items less highly (and therefore get less exposure) than those with opinion and analysis. It is just the rules I have to follow, and I was trying to make you aware of them for future reference.

So by all means write short news pieces, but just be prepared for them not to get massive exposure. For better or worse, that is just the system B/R have put in place.
