About Dan »

I'm a creative writing major at SUNY Oswego, and as journalism is no longer my thing, my writing may at times stray from typical journalistic style and end up closer to a creative essay.

I'm the featured columnist for Syracuse football here on Bleacher Report.

Sports and writing are my two passions (as well as the only two things I may at times be considered knowledgeable in), and I'm particularly passionate about my hometown Syracuse Orange. The majority of my other rooting interests are derived from my years following the Orange as well. I follow the Philadelphia Eagles in the NFL, the Denver Nuggets and the Minnesota Timberwolves in the NBA and despite their having no connection to Syracuse that I'm aware of, I also love the Boston Red Sox.

You can also follow my random, sometimes schizophrenic thoughts on sports and life on Twitter.

Feel free to post any articles on my bulletin board. I'm a general sports nut so I don't mind reading just about anything and I'm more than happy to offer my thoughts. Bonus points are awarded for college football and basketball though.

The Shortlist »

  • Favorite Athletes

Donovan McNabb, Marvin Harrison, Carmelo Anthony, Hakim Warrick, Gerry McNamara, Eric Devendorf and I've also at times been accused of having a mancrush on Jonny Flynn.

  • All Time Sports Moment

  • Most Memorable Game Attended

I've got two: For football, Syracuse/Virginia Tech in 1998 and for basketball Syracuse/Pitt in 2003.

  • Most Unbreakable Sports Record

Possibly Bonds' single season homerun record now that steroids are banned in baseball.

  • Dan Kelley commented on Matthew Hayden's profile

Being that you seem to be the resident T'Wolves expert, and because I'm looking forward to another Syracuse beating of Rutgers later today, I figured I might send along this video of Jonny Flynn tea-bagging a Rutgers player last year. It's epic.

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pHY4vduNoRo

BTW, knowing that stats rarely tell the whole story, and I haven't been able to watch many T'Wolves games this season, how's Jonny doing? I'm always going to remember that dude as one of my favorite Orangemen of all time.
