My name is Richard Allen.

My wife, DeeDee, and I were married in 1998. We have two boys named Cody(2002) and Austin(2005), and a daughter named Lyndee(2009).

I graduated from Sevier Co. High School in 1985 and from Carson-Newman College in 1989. I am a U.S. History and Psychology teacher at Seymour High in Seymour, TN. I have been doing that since 1989.

I am a member of the National Motorsports Press Association.

In 2008, I began writing NASCAR related columns for The Mountain Press newspaper in Sevierville, TN. Later that year I also started my own website called RacingWithRich.com(http://racingwithrich.com/) dedicated to the coverage of NASCAR. About two years later I started another website called TennesseeRacer.com(http://tennesseeracer.com/) dedicated to the coverage of east Tennessee area dirt track racing.

Aside from The Mountain Press, I have had columns and articles posted in The Knoxville Journal, The Maryville Daily Times, The Newport Plain Talk and The Claiborne Progress. Also, I have had several stories posted on the dirt racing website DirtonDirt.com.
