I know how painful that game must have been for him. 8 in a row. On our way to our first likely rose bowl championship in a long while. His old stadium shuts down after that last resounding blow by his most hated rival. I'd almost feel for the guy, if I didn't hate that damnable team to the North so much.

Funny, but we haven't heard much from Phil Caldwell these days. Especially after the Ducks easily handled the dawgs this weekend. Wonder what's up with him? :)

No, no threats. I don't have a copy of what I wrote, but basically here it is.
First post:
I'm not writing this so much as to speak to Phil, but rather to all those who have posted comments. I agree with Phil's comment that he isn't really jealous of the Ducks' recent successes and domination of the Huskies. What we're actually witnessing is Phil's reaction to his loss of entitlement. Like all entitled folk, Phil's world order has shifted and a new world order has taken its place. His columns regarding the Ducks range from the ludicrous to the asinine. And like many entitled people, Phil's reactions are juvenile and base at best. He has neither the intellect nor the education to cope with the changes.
That's really all that his columns about the Ducks are. It's that simple. He's just lacks the skill set to to objective and honest about the current realities and trends. He's not capable of actual sports observation, research and analysis. He's a blathering Neanderthal.
I must admit that after my last response to a Phil Caldwell column I promised to never respond to one of his columns again. I know this illustrates a flaw in my character to have so quickly abandoned that promise, but I just can't figure out why someone like Phil even merits a column. It's a sad commentary about our current news culture that an ersatz journalist is the best we can hope for.

And Phil this is directed at you. Just in case your UW education didn't include a definition of ersatz, here are a few synonyms for your benefit. (I leave it to you to look up the definition of synonym)
Artificial, imitation, synthetic, fake, false, pseudo (again, look it up), sham, bogus, spurious, counterfeit, phony, and the number one synonym for ersatz - WANNABE!
