I'm a guitar-slinging computer-wonk, writer, analyst, researcher, inventor (among other things) and sports fanatic. My love for sports is multifaceted: 1) played the sports; 2) understand and enjoy the strategies of the different games; 3) keeps me young; 4) It is a connection to great people I would not have otherwise met; and 5) We all become part of a larger whole by uniting as fans.
Currently, I write a Computer Security column called Intruder Alert, educating people on how best to protect their data and credit rating, and am a popular commenter at numerous blogs relating to science, health, economics, politics, sports, the paranormal and human consciousness. I've also written numerous songs, (had three receive radio airplay), screenplays and stage-plays.
If you want to include technical analysis as a form of writing (and not akin to waterboarding), I could include innumerable crates of analytical material that work better than most sleeping pills, are completely non-addictive and totally unfathomable to the majority of humanity.
Send me some of your favorite pieces on the paranormal and human consciousness—non-physical or otherwise. firstname.lastname@example.org. Much appreciated, sir. As much or as little as you want; suppose I'd prefer something in between.
Glad you dig the pic. My buddy paparazzi'd me from afar. Macallan Single Malt is a fine, fine, liquid indeed.
Tuna raw or lightly seared. Salmon raw, BBQ'd, baked, foil boat w/ italian dressing/crushed red pepper, basically any mode of preparation. Love it.
Aim small, miss small. Might as well be doing something while you're doing nothing.
Ha..ha...sounds like we probably have more in common when then we think...at the very least...The 49ers. One thing I learned about being a writer...at least a writer for B/R...I'vne never written anything else for publication and learned must of the craft here...you can never let some off the hook, we are all amateurs sports writers here, however, some are better that others...athough Dylan is one of the better ones...I like Jesse Reed and Dan Mori a lot as well. Anyhow, when I was a featured writer, if I made a mistake or omission...boy did I hear about it. and that is part of how we learn here I think. But yes, I also enjoy a good verbal sparring match from time to time, but get carried away by it as well at times.
I met another Oregonian through B/R...Red Shannon...AKA...Rojo Grande..I think he lives in the Eugene area...writes a lot about Track and Field...not too many do anymore.
I believe Lake County is where Konocti Harbor is...I used to go there a lot for concerts (Journey and others) as well as the Celebrity Golf Shoot out..were I have met Roger Craig, Dwight Clark, Steve Deberg, Ken Stabler, and many others.
They also are have a lot of good Winery's threre...and yes...I do enjoy a good "wine"...lol.
Have a safe move and lets chat again sometime.
Just wanted to let you know I did go back and read every comment and quite frankly it made us both look like "buffoons"...now whether or not you can admit that is another story...lol. Anyhow...I deleted the original post.which deleted all replies, but wanted to let you know that I do get carried away at times...so I am sorry for that....also sorry to hear about your wife...I hope she has a speedy recovery.
Many thanks for the props, Curly. Love the bio by the way! You appear to be a rad individual. Feel free to send me some of your literature on the paranormal and human consciousness. I'd be very much interested.
Hey Scott. My misunderstanding. Sorry about that. I had you confused with another writer that I disagreed with about the new Matt Cain contract. My apologies, no harm, no foul.
We've gotten into it a time or two? I have no idea who you are.
