I run SwishScout.com from Portland,Oregon-a hotspot as of late for Prep basketball with National AAU and High School Tournaments. With local access to the Nike Global Challenge, Les Schwab Invitational, and Nike Hoop Summit, I'm seeing and creating original scouting reports on the top prospects first hand before they enter college and the league, not rehashing analysis and popular media rankings that float around on the internet.
Having seen the likes of Kevin Durant, Kevin Love, Russell Westbrook, Brandon Jennings, John Wall, over 80 other NBA players, and a growing list of about an additional 70 on the way over the past few years play in high school and college (http://swishscout.com/?page_id=27), I have firsthand knowledge and experience seeing what translates well from the prep and NCAA levels to the NBA. I've put together a library of over 175 scouting reports, spanning the 2010 NBA Draft to the top 2013 NCAA incoming freshman (http://swishscout.com/?page_id=606 ). I do this out of passion, fun, and experience, as I aspire to someday work in Basketball Operations/Player Evaluation in the NCAA or NBA.
I'm also a recent University of Oregon graduate majoring in Sports Business and Marketing, and since graduation last June, have been published in 'American Football Monthly' for a feature story I wrote on the Oregon Ducks Spread Offense and have done a couple radio interviews.
I strive to be honest, unbiased, humble, and courteous on every subject and to everyone I meet. If I'm wrong, I will be the first to admit it. Thanks, and hope you enjoy!
