My family honors my father every year with our own "ND Shirt" for the spring game. All the men have a reunion in the local area and we attend the game with my dad's last photo (south end zone 1992 with play bill in hand) on the front of our Shirt and a saying on the back as well as the initials of anyone in the family we lost during that year. Yes we are that crazy. ND spring games is how our family attended games in the early years. My dad instilled the love of the Irish Catholic team that represented so much more than just football in all of us. He graduated HS from Mt. Carmel with Ziggy Czarobski and George Connors he was their QB on the city championship team. He went to WWii and never attended college. He loved ND for all it represents. We do too.

good response. i respect the irish, i just strongly felt that they were not as good as perceived. luckily alabam has had some great teams in recent memory. this may easily be a kick start to the notre dame revival. they have a top class and some good young talent. nd will be no stranger to the postseason/playoff picture for years to come. good luck to them

Hey Kevin, you didn't explain how Missouri changing to an easier conference kept them from improving on a bowl season in 2012.

Hey Mike Luck had nothing to do with bamas skill. AJ is a much better QB than he gets credit, (unless you listen to Musburger drooling over his GF LOL). Saban is an amazing coach, like him or not. I hope this was the first battle in a 5-10 year war between Saban and Kelly. Just think with the playoffs after next year they could see each other a lot. I hope. Thanks Torrey I think this was a battle won by Saban in a war that he and Kelly are about to wage. Should be fun to watch over the next 5-10 years. Great for the best sport in the world....College Football. Cheers and Happy New Year. Go Irish.

Taste best served raw thank you. I underestimated the layoff and the three out of four year experience that played a big role. Bama won this battle, I look forward to the next, as I think Kelly and Saban are stating a long war. Can't change the way I feel about the Irish being back and the great season we just enjoyed. Can't wait for Spring ball and the position battle between Gunner Kiel and Golson. Golson had to show up last night and did not. Bama d had a lot to do with that.

I am here, I can't say enough about Saban and the boys. I did not respect them near enough. and now know that given Saban enough time he is amazing. ND will be back we have a great start to the future. I would not trade this season for any in the last 24. I hope we learn and have a chance to revenge this game. Go Irish. Congrats to Bama and all their fans.
