About

I love sports...all sports...good and bad...controversial and simple-mass opiating...and breaking down the socio-political and socio-economic details that rarely get covered but permeate every.

I love sports stats...but I love looking past the stats...at the people, players, policies, and direct/indirect effects/influences of both the outcome of games and the administrative decisions that shape the future of the sports landscape and how it affects not only every day life, but also how it influences the lives of people outside the game- in every way.

See it's easy to watch and enjoy...its easy to be a fan and root...but that is boring.

The real challenge, which I enjoy, is how sport (all sports and everything directly related or influenced by sport) truly plays a major role in the psyche, culture, financial/politcal well-being, and general morale of America and the world. I like to dig deeper than who won or lost- but not into athletes/performers personal lives. More importantly- its about the interconnection of life and sports outside the scores. What do they mean, how they influence change, growth, stability and decline....down the soul of all of us.

What would we do without sports? Who knows...But if you just look at the surface and ignore the impact, your missing the soul and love of why sports have become the most important social influence in everyday life...

Funny how something completely fictional and derived for entertainment becomes so important to all of us...and I want to learn and discuss EVERYTHING from the best players and top records, to the internal reason we love to follow them, and how they shape the joy and strife in our worlds...whether we like it or not...

Deep...not at all. It's about full enjoyment and full comprehension...

It's about soul...and if you just root and discard the rest, your sports soul is empty...

Godspeed my friends...godspeed...
