About

UK based US sports nut with a passion for Football (the American variety), although I do love 'Football' in the English sense of the word too. College Football is my real passion, followed by the NFL (to the extent that I have flown to the States during fall each year since 2007 to take in between two and three games within the space of a week) with Soccer coming in third. I also enjoy Baseball, Horse Racing (I blog about racing in Britian & Ireland at jumpsracing.co.uk) and a bit of Golf for good measure. My mental capacity doesn't really have space to follow much more than those listed but I do like to keep my finger on the pulse across many other sports.

I enjoy writing about sport and sharing my opinions as and when I can.

    Hey Rod,

I've just posted a story about the global evolution of tennis and the increasing popularity of the sport. I've put a lot of time and effort into it, and I'd be really grateful to get any feedback you have.

If you get a chance to check it out, that would be great.

Hi Rod, hopefully you'll find time to check out this piece on Martina Navratilova's upcoming trip to Mt. Kilimanjaro to raise money for the fantastic Laureus Sport for Good Foundation. It's a great organization and a very worthwhile cause.

Feel free to pass this on to anybody who you think would be interested.
