Ron's Bio
Born, raised and currently residing in Philadelphia. My life as a sportsfan has been the motivation for my writing. Looking at the current state of sports makes me long for the days of my youth. From time to time I'll give you a blast of nostalgia which is always good and then maybe a cold, hard look at the world we live in today. Whatever I give you - just know that it'll be straight - no chaser.
And yes, I still long for the day when Broad St. will rain Championship confetti and flow with champagne.

Hey Ron,
I just wanted to let you know that Bleacher Report has launched out of beta with an updated look and feel and some great new features. Check out the "Game On" link in the header to find out more.
Next week we'll be launching the site to the world with some public announcements—and it'd be great to get a contribution from you between now and Tuesday to make Bleacher Report's launch a success.
Let me know if you need any help with ideas or have questions. Have a great weekend Ron!

I like Jim's Provolone with. Nick's Roast Beef is good also.

The whole Phils/Mets series was insane. My favorite cheesesteak: Pat's whiz with. I'm a sucker for the traditional.

Thanks for the kind words Erin, games like that Phillies/Mets game yesterday give me chills and I can only imagine what it would be like to win a title now. I think the city would literally celebrate for a week. We've all suffered a long time in Philly, but believe me when it happens we won't be able to compare it to anything we've ever experienced.

Hi Ron. I really enjoy your articles -- particularly your insights into Philadelphia sports -- and have been a fan for a while. When the championship confetti falls on Broad St., I'll be right there with ya! Keep it up :)

Glad the edits check out, Ron. Great work, by the way. Poor LBriggs--further proof that it's never a good idea to drunk-dial the cops.

Hahahaha non-alcoholic Champagne making Barney relapse!
How about the time Mrs. Lovejoy proclaims, "It isn't about love, it's about S-E-X. In front of the C-H-I-L-D-R-E-N." and Krusty shouts, "Sex Cauldron? I thought they closed that place down!"

Didn't see alot of Carew, but when I first answered you I had a list of guys, in no particular order and Carew came to mind first. He was just as consistant. I named Carew, Boggs, Puckett, Molitor, Mattingly, Biggio, and if Ichiro stays healthy he'll get 4.000 hits he's halfway to 3,000 now. I know I've forgotten a player or two.

Clutch indeed.
Did you see Rod Carew? How do him and Rose stack up?

Ron: besides Tony Gwynn, who do you think is the best singles hitter ever?
