Case Keenum, Yao Ming, Jeff Bagwell, Craig Biggio, Andre Johnson.

  • Favorite Sports Teams

Houston Cougars, Sam Houston State Bearkats, Texas A&M Aggies, Houston Astros, Houston Rockets, Rice Owls

  • Favorite Coaches

Rudy Tomjanovich, Larry Dierker, Kevin Sumlin, Bob Marlin

  • All-Time Sports Moment

The Rockets back-to-back NBA Championships in 1994-1995

  • Most Memorable Game Attended

Seeing the central division championship clinched for the Astros in 1998.

  • Most Unbreakable Sports Record

    Cal Ripken's consecutive games record.

  • Ruth or Mays?

Ruth. Any time you are an All-Star pitcher and an all-time great hitter at the same time, you're something special.

  • Unitas or Montana?

Montana. Not only did he win a ton of championships, but he did a lot to make the QB position the definitive glamour position in the NFL.

  • Jordan or Russell?

Russell. Jordan is probably the better player, but I think all you'd have to do is talk to teammates of these guys to know who the better teammate and person was.

  • Gretzky or Orr?

Not a hockey guy, but I'll go with Gretzky because I was alive when he played.

  • Pele or Maradona?

Again, not a soccer guy, but Pele because he came as close as anyone to making soccer a legitimate sport in America.

  • Federer or Sampras?

Federer. The number of Grand Slam wins speaks for itself. On top of that he is the best shotmaker I've ever seen and his matches with Nadal provide some of the best sports theatre I've ever witnessed.

  • Tiger or Nicklaus?

Sticking to strictly sports here, Tiger. When he was on, no one could touch him.

  • Petty or Earnhardt?

Earnhardt. He personified what made NASCAR racing great. Plus, he really connected with the rabid racing fan base.

  • Schumacher or Senna?

Are we talking Michael Schumacher? If so, I'll go with him.

  • ACC, Big 12, Big East, Big Ten, Pac-12 or SEC?

I think the SEC is best. The talent that flocks to that conference is staggering. As for my personal favorite, the Big 12. These are the teams I grew up watching.

SEC is anything but overrated, thats why they've won the past 5 national championships and has produced alot of NFL players, not only that, but Alabama or LSU could both beat Oklahoma, and saying Arkansas hasnt played anybody? Thats idiotic. They beat an A&m that very well could be 4-0 if it wasnt for their poor 2nd half play, not to mention their first loss was to a top 8 team in oklahoma state. Before you badmouth an write a bias article about the SEC, do your homework on the best conference in college ball.

    Rick,

I have yet to delete a single comment off of that article. I posted the article this morning, then went to work. I have been at work all day. I'm sorry that you didn't agree or didn't enjoy the piece.

I wrote it to have a little fun. I have a lot of respect for Texas Tech as an institution and as an athletic program. I meant no harm. I was looking to have a little fun banter between fans of the two school and maybe I got a little more than I bargained for.

However I was wondering if your a longhorn or more of an Aggie or you really don't care that much. If you HAD to choose though, which one? Also, I wish Yao didn't retire, but I guess his time is up....Want to write an article on him? Thanks Joseph!
