  2. Hey Nick,

The Alex Rodriguez steroid/hip saga is almost coming to a close, and I wanted to tell the story of A-Rod’s tumultuous offseason through the eyes of How the Grinch Stole Christmas, or in this case “April.” Both A-Rod and the Grinch are slightly misunderstood and have taken a bevy of negative criticism.

Let me know what you think of the article and my rhyming skills. Thanks in advance!

  3. I TRULY BELIEVE ..there's only one way to beat beat Fedor.."stick and move"..Arlovski and Roach had the right game plan but Arlovski got too excited when he thought Fedor was hurt..getting excited also means getting careless..and the flying knee was his a bad choice.
When Fedor was knocked against the ropes, perhaps a better move would have been to continue to box ..jab his way in close and fire combos like Chuck Liddel did when he finished Tito a few years back..as for Anthony ..the excuses and the phony accounts he uses disgust me..(lunatic fridge)..lmao..

  4. Its that time again. Time for the 3rd edition of B/R MMA rankings. We will be ranking our Top 5 fighters in each division (lightweight-heavyweight) and doing a Top 10 P4P rankings.

A few notes: For P4P feel free to include fighters from featherweight or bantamweight. A fighter who hasn't fought in over a year he is ineligible. As far as Rich Franklin and Dan Henderson, Franklin will only receive votes at light heavyweight and Dan Henderson will only receive votes at middleweight. If you have any questions about this feel free to ask. Keep in mind that Diego Sanchez is fighting at 155 at UFC 95. I would lean toward voting for him at lightweight (if he is in your top 5) but technically he is still a welterweight so use your best discretion. please email your submissions to brianc.oswald@gmail.com and in your subject line put: your name and B/R MMA rankings. Thanks for taking the time to vote!

  5. Hey Nick, thanks for the comment. I threw up a little bit in my mouth after looking at your favorite athlete/teams (lifelong Bostonian), but I'm OK now. Good point about Dana trying to protect his English Muffin, Bisbing.

  6. Semi-finals of the lightweight interactive tournament has been published. Please check it out and cast your votes.

  7. Are you a fan or MMA tournaments? please check my newest concept of an article "The Interactive Tournament" and leave your votes. Let your voices be heard and vote for the best fighters.

  8. Don't sell your self short my friend..you seem to have a great handle on the combat sports.
MMA is not that far removed from boxing, no MATTER what anyone MAY try to tell you. actually I'm inclined to say that boxing is one form, in a box of mixed forms..lol
YOU ARE ON YOUR WAY NOW..KEEP THAT GOOD STUFF COMING....BUDDY STOKE.

  9. I just finished my comment that turned into an article on MMA. I would appreciate your feedback.

  10. HEY BUDDY
You know,..."little Floyd" is so tight defensively that he is extremely hard to hit cleanly, which is why he is undefeated..Ricky Hatton applied tremendous pressure, but didn't even phase the pretty boy..its easy to hate Floyd..(as so many people do)...but then again, not everybody liked Muhammad Ali either, especially other fighters..like Joe Frazier and Canadian George Chuvalo; But, Ali is now known as the greatest heavyweight boxer of all time...Floyd Mayweather would make Manny look amateurish AT BEST and he would win unanimously..thnks for asking..
    your good friend,
    Stoker Dafire!

  11. Great points. Very well written. I would love to see a ranking system. Of course, at some point people will always call "foul" like with boxing rankings, but it is a step in the right direction.
